Iran’s airport industry not concerned about US JCPOA exit

TEHRAN, May 09 (MNA) – Chief Executive of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company Rahmatollah Mahabadi said that US President Trump’s decision on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will have no effect on the development of airport industry of the country.

Islamic Republic of Iran plays a decisive role in regional and international level, he said, adding, “in this regard, decision taken by US statesmen and politicians will have no effect.”

Fortunately, Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the official title of nuclear deal, provided a great opportunity for country’s airport industry, so that the country will be able to purchase required parts and equipment despite sanctions imposed on Iran, he maintained.

He further pointed out that a landmark nuclear deal inked between Iran and six world’s major powers in Austrian capital Vienna in mid-July 2015, based on which, this comprehensive deal was put into effect in January 2016.

Iranian officials have repeatedly lodged their complaints on US for violating rules and regulations of the deal since implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he criticized.

Chief Executive of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company Rahmatollah Mahabadi once again reiterated that Iranian airport industry will not be affected by US decision over JCPOA.
